Wish on a Dandelion

The sun appeared when the girl woke up. On top of the wet grass, she looked at the sky. A pair of doves flew beautifully. They perched on the different branches. Suddenly, one of the doves flew away. The dove on the branch just saw her pair left her. The dove’s pair went in the direction of the sunrise—East.

The girl was still looking at the dove who perched on the branch. She thought, the dove had a same feeling with her. She felt lonely when her partner left her out of the blue, it was like the dove who was left by her pair.

“She stronger than me, she isn’t crying or do something irrational,” the girl whispered to the wind.

Her brunette hair looked messy, her eyes too wistful, and her dress full of soil and wet. However, she didn’t care about her condition. She just missed someone who ever been in her heart. Someone who was always by her side. But now, he left her with a lot of memories. He went away from her life—maybe forever.

She couldn’t admit the reality that faced her. The important thing were she was still loving that guy and she didn’t want to let him go. She knew that God will give her another guy, it was fate when that guy left her. Maybe there was another guy who is closer to perfection than that guy.

When she lamented her past, some bloom dandelions were still waiting the girl. Based on the myth of dandelion, the use of dandelion is same as the use of birthday candle—for making a wish. So, the dandelion was waiting the girl for making a wish. Make any wishes.

She realized that some dandelions grew beside her. One stalk of dandelions was picked by her. She picked it carefully so she didn’t shake the seeds off by accident. She closed her eyes and thought about her wish, she repeated the wish again and again in her mind. Without opening her eyes, she blew the dandelion as hard as she could. The wind made the seeds flew away from the girl.

“Have a good journey, deliver my wish to God."
